| Comments: Bryan had met Aidan at the Phoenix Pride event and was obviously quite taken by the little guy. He came back to the RESCUE booth a number of times throughout the afternoon just to spend more time with Aidan. He understood that Aidan is a little shy and takes time to warm up and just needed to be held and reassured. He would sit down quietly and then just hold Aidan and pet him until he was comfortable. He also had called friends who were going to the event on Sunday to tell them to stop by the booth in case Aidan was there on Sunday. He was very excited about the little guy. He even went online Saturday and filled out the application for him, even though he was not officially ready for adoption yet. At the appointment, Bryan had already purchased some food for Aidan, but I gave him the canned food we had been feeding him as well. He was going to go out and get a new leash and collar, but wanted to find out what might be best before that. He also asked about toys and what type of crate to buy. I told him about Aidan's love of sitting on pillows and gave him Aidan's little orange softie toy. Bryan also inquired more about vets so he could get Aidan set up. Aidan checked out Bryan's apartment and then let Bryan just sit and hold him. Bryan planned to spend the whole day with Aidan helping him to adjust to his new home. I'm sure that little Aidan will be loved and spoiled by his new dad. Bryan promised to send pictures and updates to us. |
