When Buttons and I arrived at David?s condo complex we were greeted out front of his unit by David and two of his friends. The second we got out of the truck, its was Ooohs and Ahhhs and ?SHE IS SO CUTE!?. Always a good sign. We went inside and within minutes David proclaimed it a done deal for him. Buttons made herself right at home by hopping up on the couch and getting tummy rubs. At this point, his two friends agreed, she?s a keeper. And they all agreed, her overbite makes her that much cuter.
His back yard passed inspection, perfect for a small dog like Buttons, and secure. She learned how to use the doggie door while were there even.
Buttons will have an extended family of both two-legged and four-legged animals. Most of the neighbors in the complex have dogs as well and get together for puppy playtimes. We joined in one while we were there and Buttons thought that was just the best, she finally got a chance to really play. She also got her first new toy, a little stuffed camel, which she carried around (that?s what she does with toys, just carries them). David asked is he had passed the test and I told him yes. Then his friends told us that Buttons had also passed their test. In fact, they said that Misha, his previous dog who died of cancer some months back, had sent him an angel to take her place and Buttons is that angel. They also told me that you want to be David?s dog, it?s the good life. I know that Buttons (soon to be Sophie) will be loved, spoiled, and given the best of care with David, and she?ll give him all the love right back.

| Buttons is a very loving and affectionate girl, and really seems to like her people! She is not shy about displaying her affection for you. She jumps up, hugs your leg, and just stares up at you as though the sun rises and sets in your eyes. :). Buttons loves to get her head scratched, and her tongue will loll out of the side of her mouth (think Homer Simpson with a donut). This little habit of hers is quite funny! She likes to sit on your lap and snuggle up too. Our little girl has a gentle spirit with all creatures, and she even gave Reggie, her foster cat sibling, a little lick on the ear when they were sharing thier mommy's lap! Buttons is a sweetheart who is sure to win your hearts!
